Cloak Hosting – Are they any good for PBN hosting or is there something better!

Hey guys and welcome, Alicia here with another quick post. Today we’re going to take a quick look at Cloak Hosting, check out their pricing, features, and as well as their pros and cons.

Selecting a host isn’t an easy task and selecting the wrong one can play havoc on your network.

Before we get right into this, I want to add that I use LaunchCDN for all my PBN hostings. I’ve been using them for quite a while now and I’m more than happy and impressed with their rates and services.

Cloak Hosting is located in Las Vegas, NV, and is one of the older platforms in the PBN hosting space. They first came on the scene back in 2011.

They offer:

Speed, support, reliability, and performance is crucial for all your money sites and for all our money site hosting we use and recommend WPX Hosting for all our WordPress hosting services.

They’re voted #1 on both G2 Crowd and Trustpilot as well as recommended by Shane from Thrive Themes and Matthew Woodward as being the fastest host for WordPress sites.

Cloak Hosting Pricing & Plans

Cloak Hosting has 5 package deals on offer starting at $47 per month for their cheapest and smallest package. With it you get:

  • 10 class C networks
  • SSD based server
  • Unmetered storage
  • Unmetered bandwidth
  • Cpanel, Fantastico

All five package deals have the same features, it’s pretty much just the pricing and amount of IPs that are allocated differ.

The 25 plan will set you back $88 a month, the 50 IP package at $150 per month, 75 Ip package deal will cost you $200/month and their biggest package the 100 IP deal costs $237 a month.

Like with everything, the bigger the plan you sign for the cheaper it works out to be.

Some of the standout features

I like the fact that they carry out daily backups for free. There are still some hosting companies out there that still chargers you for this service.

Cloak hosting uses high-performance SSD driver servers and with continual monitoring keeping an eye on your CPU and memory.

To spread the love around they use over 50 different Class A IP addresses to try and hide them in the woods. Having different IP addresses is just one but to see my step by step guide to private blog networks.

Support is available through either phone and email tickets. There are no self-help, tutorials, or how-tos guides to help you out.

They do offer you a risk-free 14-day trial period where you can try them out for free, and if you’re not impressed or happy within the 14 day period, just cancel your account and that will be the last of it.

Price and reliability I think you can do better. Their website is very vague into what you really get of course we can’t put aside the major fxxxup that happened in 1016.

In case you never heard it goes a little like this.

In May 2016 a guru, we won’t throw names around, but anyways in the PBN space, a well-known person in the PBN industry published all of their IP address online.

So you can imagine how that went down, and as far as I can tell at the time of writing this post the problem still exists.

For that reason alone is why I use and recommend LaunchCDN as the best alternative to Cloak Hosting.
